HYDE PARK VILLAGE WELCOMES SANTA, SNOW & ICE AT TOMORROW’S ‘A NIGHT OF LEON’

TAMPA, FLORIDA (June 24, 2010) – Hyde Park Village announces A Night of Leon, a family-friendly Christmas celebration benefiting Metropolitan Ministries, Friday, June 25 from 7 PM to 9 PM at the Fountain. Leon is ‘noel’ spelled backwards.
June 25 marks exactly six months till Christmas and in an effort to help increase awareness of Metropolitan Ministries’ holiday efforts and the importance of giving year round, A Night of Leon sheds light on the needs of at-risk youth in the Tampa Bay community. Guests are encouraged to bring a new, unwrapped toy or $10 donation.
Sunny skies and the summer heat can’t keep the snow and ice away. Watch as Hyde Park Village becomes a Christmas wonderland of snow with colorful decorations, family photo opportunities, live holiday music and a giant ice slide. Children of all ages will enjoy a sled ride down the ice slide, face painting, Rock Band and pizza. Even Santa Claus is coming to town!
Learning Express Toys is offering a Silly Bands special, buy three 24-packs and receive one 12-pack free! There will also be a Silly Bands trading table, enthusiasts should come prepared to trade. The evening wouldn’t be complete without dessert from City Street Sweets! Single scoop ice cream cones are half off and chocolatiers will be sampling Candy Cane fudge handmade especially for A Night of Leon.
